Visualizations

Audio Sessions

Each audio visualization session is between 30-45 minutes and includes a relaxation portion, a short mindfulness portion and a dive/performance portion. They are designed to be used as a part of your training routine, just as you would take time to go to the gym or go practice your diving.

What is Visualization?

Visualization is a powerful mental technique that is used to mentally practice your disciplines without physically getting in the water. Visualizing yourself performing a dive to perfection has been scientifically shown to improve your performance and most of the top freediving athletes practice it to some degree.

Depth Discipline Sessions

As you lay on the surface preparing for your dive, think about all of the hard work you have put into your training. Feel the slight movement of the surface relax your body as you let yourself get moved around by its gentle touch. You hear “30 seconds to official top” and begin to take your final breath.

The depth visualization sessions shown below are designed to help you relax and visualize your dives with proper technique. By listening to the instructions during the sessions, you are able to completely focus on the sensations of diving, the feeling of pulling through the water or finning without needing to constantly pull yourself back from distractions.

Pool Discipline Sessions

“As you begin to take your final breath, feel the excitement of being seconds away from beginning your dive. You hear the count down to official top. ‘ Five, four, three, two, one, official top, plus one, plus two’ and as you feel your lungs completely full of air, you submerge your airways and kick off the wall.”

The pool visualization sessions shown below are designed to help you relax and visualize your dives with proper technique.
